The McClendon Mini Farm

I have dreamed of this day all my life,well for the last 6 months of it anyways hehe!)my husband finished our chicken coop! Not that he has been working on it for that long. He actually drew his on plan and finished it in 2 weeks! Whoop, whoop props to my awesome hubby. I love it. I lovethe old barn wood he used for the sides. I love his cute homemade window. I love the beautiful hand crafted cedar nesting boxes. Have I mentioned I love this coop, hahaha. We even have one chicken and 2 more will be picked up this weekend. I am so stoked. Not to mention the kiddos love it too. I am slowly getting the mini homestead I wanted. Now full speed to the garden! I have that spring feeling in my blood I cant shake. And with temps in Alabama reaching the 80's this weekend I am ready!

    I love your chicken coop! It's adorable!! One of my friends has a chicken coop and I can't recall how many hens she has but she brings me eggs fairly often. :) So fun! And you can't beat fresh eggs!! (My only advice as to your coop would be to possibly add smaller wire fencing at least at the bottom portion to help prevent snakes from getting in...my friend lives in the woods and has had snake problems.)
